"My creative process begins when I get out with the camera and interact with the world. A camera is truly a license to explore. There are no uninteresting things. There are just uninterested people."

- Jerry Uelsmann

I grew up in Rochester, N.Y, also known as "Kodak City".  My Grandfather worked for Mr. Eastman at a young age as well as my Dad. I even had a summer job at Kodak during my college years as a Pipe Fitter in Building #29. Emulsion coating!  I can say that FILM is in my blood.

My love for art, photography and music is my passion and what drives me. I enjoyed painting and drawing at a young age and photography soon after. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie Fiesta camera that used roll film.   I LOVED this camera!

I continued my passion for photography and wanted to learn more!

I decided to study Photography and Video at Monroe Community College and Rochester Institute of Technology. I learned about light, colors, science and as always, composition from some amazing Professors!

After college, I worked in commercial photography at Visual Horizons,  creating multiple exposure effects, custom enlargements and maintaining a traditional wet darkroom. I also photographed portraits and weddings on my weekends during this time. I started off as an assistant and learned the correct way to capture the moment from a real craftsman, Gary Buck. I continued to grow both professionally and artistically during these years. I have been photographing weddings and portraits professionally since 1992.

I have always been an observer of people. Human emotions, gestures, and relationships truly fascinate me and in my portraiture photography, I am in the moment with my trusty camera.

Thank you for visiting my web site, I hope to see you soon!

Cheers,

Kevin
